Heroes

Stephen Fry

Fiction

In this book, companion to his bestselling Mythos, Stephen Fry brilliantly retells dramatic, funny, tragic and timeless greek tales.

Since the first book (Mythos) was more about Olympian gods and their doings, Heroes is the story of what we mortals are truly capable of – at our worst and our very best.

My opinion

This is a better book than the first part of Stephen Fry’s series of classic greek stories. Most likely this is because this one has the most legendary characters like Hercules and Oedipus etc.

These are classic stories told with original content, but with modern day language.

For who?

People who are interested in classic stories and European cultural history.
