Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow

Yuval Noah Harari

Non-Fiction

Harari’s previous book (Sapiens) was about history of our species. This one is all about where we are going next. Is our species going to exists as a Homo Sapiens in the future or a upgraded Homo Deus. Book is a mixture of natural sciences, history and philosophy. Harari gives both utopian and dystopian theories what will happen to old myths keeping our society together and what kind of society we might found ourself in near future.

My opinion

Like previous book this one is quite provocative and philosophically deep. It gives you some insides and notes where we are going, but it also force you to think.

For who?

People who are interested in philosophy, theories of future society and effects of technological development. Also it’s good if reader don’t mind to be provoked. I recommend reading Harari’s first book ‘Sapiens‘ first.
